As an aside, after writing that previous entry I got curious just how much my health care has cost total since I got sick. Some of my medications and procedures are very expensive, particularly transfusions such as Rituxan and IVIG, a type of plasma transference. These treatments alone can hit up to $35,000 a day.

The total approximate amount that has been submitted to my insurance since August of 2013 is $1,674,856.94.

This is just submitted claims, not the final number after the programs I am enrolled in or insurance payouts. But it is clear to see that without these types of programs and options, the average person could be financially crippled forever. Here is praying that something can be done for those who need help the most.
